Day 1
Arrive Kilimanjaro, Arusha
Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport by our representative and drive to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge to arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy magnificent views of the Lake from the comfort of your room or opt for a swim in the lodge’s swimming pool located on the cliff of the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara Serena Lodge
Standing high on the edge of a towering escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of tranquility, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.
At 1600hrs, depart and drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National park for game viewing drive. The extraordinary birdlife and Tree climbing lions are but one of the lure. The place is world-renown amongst the ornithologists, who come to observe the masses of pink flamingos and great birds of prey.

Day 2
Lake Manyara to Serengeti
After breakfast depart and drive to Serengeti National park to arrive in time for lunch at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. 16:00 depart for an afternoon game viewing drive before returning to the lodge in time early evening.

Day 3
Serengeti National park
Full day in Serengeti National park with morning and afternoon game viewing drive in the Park. Apart from the Selous, this is the largest of all the Parks in Tanzania, summed up as ‘one of the most unique areas in the world’. The Serengeti contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale which has no parallel anywhere in the world.
Even during the height of the migration towards the Masai Mara, there is a huge concentration of plains game in the Reserve, mainly concentrated around the watering places, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work.

Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast depart and drive to Ngorongoro climbing to the altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World.”
Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
The Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is built onto the rim of this amazing natural phenomenon, a stunning plant and local creeper covered stone lodge where guests co-exist in perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment and wildlife.
Lunch in the lodge followed by an afternoon at leisure.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masaai tribe.
Picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites on the crater floor.
As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner.

Day 6
Ngorongoro to Zanzibar
Breakfast in Lodge. Later depart and drive to Arusha airport for schedule flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at the Zanzibar Airport, you will be met by a Serena Representative who will drive you the short distance into Stone Town, and the fabulous Zanzibar Serena Hotel. Idyllically situated on the sea-front of ancient Stone Town, and flanked by an exotic mix of sultan’s palaces, Portuguese forts, ancient dhow harbors, and bright bazaars, the hotel is a haven of tranquility and opulence amongst the bustle of one Africa’s most ancient and most enchanting towns. A member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World, it is styled to represent the epitome of Swahili style, ethnic elegance and Arabic opulence.

Day 7
Zanzibar
Breakfast in the hotel.
Full day in Zanzibar to explore Stone Town and the Island. Take an excursion to Mangapwani, Serena’s exclusive and private beach facility for a swim and lunch.

Day 8
Departure
Breakfast in the Hotel. Later you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled International flight.
02 NIGHTS - 03 DAYS – SELOUS GAME RESERVE : OPTION
Day 1- Fly to Selous Game Reserve, Southern Tanzania
Fly to at the Stigler’s airstrip in the Selous Game Reserve. You will be met by our welcoming team and driven to the Selous Serena Camp or Serena Mivumo River Lodge with a game drive en route.
SELOUS SERENA CAMP
Tented Camp in the Heart of Selous Game Reserve
Set amidst dense indigenous forests the Selous Serena Camp is the ultimate wilderness retreat. With 360-degree views over the surrounding bush, the twelve widely spaced tents are presented in time-honored safari style, with natural thatch roofs, elegant Victorian styled bathrooms, and private viewing decks. Luxuriously presented, each tent features an engaging mix of canvas walls, crystal chandeliers, opulent rugs and elegant rosewood furniture. Deep within the wilderness, the charming central dining room, lounge, library and bar, which are interconnected by broad wooden walkways offering excellent views of the Selous Game Reserve. High above the lodge, is a spectacular ‘infinity’ pool and sundeck.
Serena Mivumo River Lodge
Built out on timbered decks above the banks of the mighty Rufiji River with long views down the plunging torrents of Stigler’s Gorge, this traditional timber and thatch lodge offers just twelve luxurious chalets, each of which stands on its own river-view deck, with rain shower and private plunge pool. After an afternoon river boat safari, enjoy sundowners on a sandbank in the river before returning to the lodge in time for dinner overlooking the river, which is home to unprecedented numbers of hippos and crocodiles.

Day 2
Selous
With a full day on safari in the magnificent Selous, you have a unique opportunity to experience everything that this vast and magnificent reserve has to offer. Covering 55,000sq kms of dense bush and savannah the Selous protects over one million large animals, the largest buffalo concentration in Africa; over half of Tanzania’s elephants and one third of Africa’s entire population of the rare and endangered wild dog.
As for activities, your dedicated safari guide will be delighted to tailor a personal schedule that can include game drives, guided walks, river boat safaris, fishing trips, hot-spring bathing and your choice of river picnics and scenic sundowners.

Day 3
Departure
After breakfast, enjoy and optional morning game viewing drive followed by a leisurely lunch at the lodge. Later you will be transferred to Stigler’s Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar.
